Welcome!

Welcome to Daisy Academy!
Where learning is the never ending story!

We are a private school located in a quaint little yellow schoolhouse in the best spot in the south, my home. We have a classroom, art room, science laboratory, and the prettiest view for miles right from our front porch that overlooks our 4th generation botanical gardens.

We welcome you to grab a book, pick a rocking chair, and enjoy a glass of sweet tea while smelling the sweet scent of jasmine, honeysuckle, and sweet shrub blossoms.

Most importantly, we encourage you to
NEVER STOP LEARNING!

  1. We are a private school in a cooperative, which is perfect for homeschool students. We specialize in a balanced, non-biased approach to teaching both the Christian and secular viewpoints in subjects. We believe that knowing both sides of an issue is the only way you can make an informed argument of your principles. We believe this allows students, with the guidance of their parents, to develop their own beliefs and opinions. Our teachers will provide no personal opinions, but they are trained to provide gentle feedback to the contrary that will help students defend their beliefs when challenged by the opposition. Our academic departments include science, language arts, and electives. Our language arts and history courses are blended providing two credits in one course by including current events, comparative and historical research, literature of the time period or country, writing, and grammar into one course. At times there may be even be some crossover with a science course, which allows us to encourage more individualized research for a greater expansion of knowledge and increased skill development in one year verses having repetitive requirements in different courses. Please speak with any staff member or administrator about this wonderful benefit our school provides. Course offerings also include creative writing, creative arts, debate** arguments to both sides required. When accepted students must complete a placement exam in both math and writing. Math scores will determine which math courses the student is eligible for and writing courses will determine if an introductory writing course is required (seminar of 2 days or 2 weeks depending on score). All students re-enrolling will be required to take the placement exam. Take one course or a full credit load of courses. In our school students can multiple courses within one school year allowing him or her to graduate early. Physical education courses are not offered. Ages 7 and up may enroll in Grades 5-12, pre-college may audit classes. Students under the age of 10 will be required to pay 1.5x course tuition rate for one year*, audited courses require 1.5x tuition rate for one year*, college students may enroll in tutoring classes (min 2 students per class max 6 students per class at 1.5x tuition rate). *year 2 rate is dependent upon student participation and achievement.
    Please be aware
    (1) our staff teaches the use of they and them as the plural pronouns only and uses pronouns he and she when speaking to or referring to students
    (2) we do not teach or encourage gender studies
    (3) our staff will report historical viewpoints of both sides of each concept to allow students to fully defend their own position, for instance the effects on the people of Britain and their opinion of Americans leading up to, during, and after the Revolutionary War
(4)our staff compliments and gives affectionate encouragement, which may include pats on the back or shoulder and words and phrases not currently considered appropriate***, such as "sweetie", "darling", "cutie", etc. ***our teachers are southern raised by sweet little grandmas and will use "bless your heart" frequently in all its connotations.
